In this Podcast (#002) of Who Is This Babylon?, Don discusses the Second Exodus motif taken from the first Exodus and the Old Testament prophecies which predicted it for the last days. They were coming out of bondage, coming to Zion, and therefore enjoins upon us the necessity to study the first exodus in the Old Testament.
Each of these play a role in a proper of the Book of Revelation. The song of Moses and the Lamb in Revelation 15 refers back to the Song of Moses in Deuteronomy 32. These promises related to Christ as the antitype of Moses, predictive of Israel’s last days.
The judgement of Babylon in Revelation 19 is a direct citation and allusion to Deuteronomy 32:43, which says God would avenge the blood of the martyrs, another example of Israel’s last days. When Revelation describes the judgment of Babylon, Deut. 32:43 would be fulfilled, therefore, we are not discussing the last days of Rome or America.
