Daniel chapter 2 is a beatufiul text where God outlines His divine timeline for the coming of the eternal kingdom. Some critics of Covenant Eschatology say that Daniel 2 is a prime example of a text that wasn’t fulfilled for 400 years past AD 70. These same critics try to hold onto the idea that the kingdom arrived on Pentecost. These two ideas, however, simply cannot work becasue the arrival of the kingdom of God not made with hands corresponds directly to the crushing a consuming of the the image in Daniel 2.
