A study of the Temple Typology in 1 Corinthians 15 which further supports the kingdom-resurrection theme of the chapter. The temple focus of the the resurrection chapter is lost because of the emphasis by some on individual bodies coming out of the graves. John’s gospel establishes Jesus as the Resurrection and the Live. This is the guiding principle of our approach to resurrection in the both epistles to the Corinthians.

A survey of tabernacle typology begins with Adam as a priest-king in Genesis with very striking correlations in the Corinthians chapter. Christ is the last Adam. Therefore, we must appeal to Genesis to learn what we can about that statement.

The kingdom-temple typology is prominent in the Bible but has also lost its emphasis due to what I believe is the Western mindset and domination principles and focused on man made governments versus the divine kingdom.

William Bell carefully sets forth supporting points from the context. The net result of this approach is very liberating for those who need to understand the power and victory Christ has delivered to Sin and Hades, allowing the Christiand to live victoriously in this world.
