In this episode of Two Guys and A Bible, Don Preston discusses the destruction of Leviathon the serpent, showing from the O.T. that the destruction of Satan was prosphesied in the O.T.

Isaiah’s “Little Apocalypse” demonstrates the time of the resurrection, and the defeat of Satan in that day. We learn from John 12:31, that Jesus said, “Now is the judgment of this world, Now shall the prince of this world be cast out. Therefore, the time was imminent in the first century.

Again in Romans 16:20, Paul, quoting from Genesis 3:15 said God shall crush Satan under your feet shortly. While some believe the term shortly has no temporal significance but only means to act in a rapid manner, Preston refutes this claim using the definitions in the Greek dictionaries and logic.

End of the Millennium

Since Isaiah discusses the end or demise of Satan, he also has in mind the end of the millennium which consummates at Satan’s demise. Thus it was both at hand and coming quickly in that day. This is an exciting study and demands careful consideration for all who want to know more about the time of the end from a Biblical view.
