Are true preterists modern day disciples of the Hymenaeun heresy? That is one charge that is often brought against true preterists, but is that a just accusation? Today we will explore the teachings of Hymenaeus and Philetus and demonstrate how they were the very ones that Jesus prophesied about in the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24-25). We will also show that they were part of the movement that attempted to bind the law on Gentile believers.
