Do you—like millions of others—overlook the real value/meaning of James by reducing it to a book of practical wisdom?

It’s true, James says that anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask God for it. But did you realize that a closer look shows that James is talking specifically about wisdom to face temptations and pressures of life. What was the chief pressure the Diaspora faced? Was it not the abuse that they as Christians faced from the Moses-based Jews who hated Jesus and His followers?

Frequently in his book, James alludes to or references the teachings of Jesus regarding the end of all things. “The judge is standing right at the door,” he said, connecting to the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple as taught be Jesus in Matt. 24. Those were, as James said, the Last Days.

As we go quickly through this short book, we will look, as always, for clear indications that the prophets’ message was being fulfilled.
