The work of the Holy Spirit in Redemption addresses the eschatological role of the Holy Spirit in the last days. This involves the earnest of the Spirit as a pre-requisite to entering upon the inheritance. Many misunderstand the work of the Holy Spirit and view this work as some non-miraculous indwelling which involves the relationship with the Spirit versus the last days mission and function of the Spirit. For this reason many believe that Christ’s coming is yet future and that the Holy Spirit continues until the end of the Christian age.
